Clubmusic - Part 3

Here's the third installation of my clubmusic. You've probably heard this familiar music several times in the air.

EVER AFTER (ERIC'S BEACH MIX) - HED KANDI feat. BONNIE BAILEY

Hed Kandi is one of the greatest House Labels. Formed in 1999 by DJ and A&R man Mark Doyle, Hed Kandi is a lifestyle concept incorporating a record label, a radio show, international club nights and a graphic style that stimulates all senses. Another great thing that sets Hed Kandi asides from any other compilation is the fact that they’ve gone beyond house music and launched into the world of chill out music. The main thing about this label can be summed up in 1 thing: quality, the main difference between Kandi and other labels is that they simply wanted to get away from most of the commercial music out there and yes to get away from the mediocre compilations that flood the market, advertising themselves with terms like “Chill”, “Ibiza” or both. Ever_After.mp3 (9.0 MB)

In the case of Hed Kandi, they release full 12 inches versions of the best songs you can get your hands on, that means: no lame edit or radio versions and the possibility to make your own mixes. In the case of the chill-out compilations they use mostly unknown artists. A difficult thing is to keep up with the tremendous amounts of stuff they release, it requires a good pocket, and be sure you’ll be spending lots of money. Someone once told me it’s like an addiction and you have to have them all and I think he is right, rarely has a Hed Kandi record disappointed me.And finally, the covers oh yes, the lovely ladies depicted on the covers invite you to whatever mood you’re feeling in: sunny, sexy, wintery...., in other words the cover tells you exactly what the music is going to sound like.
