KimoiX Soundcheck: DJ SAMMY

Downloadable mp3's for DJ Sammy for both tracks in the 1st and 2nd Album are available in my site this month but before that let's have a review...Some if not all of us knew about this DJ being famous for his remake of Bryan Adams' HEAVEN, which happened to be the second album's title.
DJ Sammy (born Samuel Bouriah, October 29, 1969 in Mallorca, Spain) is a dance music DJ. He has had four Top 10 hits in the United Kingdom, one of them being a cover of Bryan Adams's Heaven. He has been praised for his many collaborations with Dj patzer. His cover of Heaven was a collaboration with Dominique van Hulst, a popular Dutch vocalist who is usually known as Do. He has also collaborated with Loona, whom he later married, in the making of some of his singles. In addition he has also collaborated with Yanou, who produced the more subtle Heaven (Candlelit Mix), and later Heaven 911, commemorating the terrorism attacks of 9/11. Although it reached #2 in the UK charts, some people criticised his cover of Don Henley's "Boys of Summer" as they felt it didn't reflect the true meaning of the song. mog
Files below came from his second album under my sendspace upload. Maximum file is only 4.51 MB so it will not be greedy on your pc memory. Download the files now!

Just a Reaction

A moment ago i watched Channel 4 in my TV set. My ex-school mate, Atty. Marc Castrodes was there, hosting the Inter-collegiate Debate Championship Finals. I listened to the arguments between Ateneo de Manila and UP. It was such a debate, all the arguments are very much well said and the adjudicators and the audience are impressed. I reacted on the topic because for me it is inappropriate for Teen Magazines (e.g. Candy, Meg, etc.) to publish topics about politics. I mean, you can only read politics in the newspapers and most Magazines but in Meg? No way dude! No offense but who's gonna buy those magazines if the pages talks about the politicians, corruptions, political whores and the never- ending political wars? Well as for educating the society about present political status, which does not only limit to adults but also the teens, there are always classrooms for them and there are parents to do that.
They could have picked a better debatable topic say, economic issues like outsourcing, whether to legalize gay marriage, to legally declare prostitution as a profession, topics about terrorism, finance and foreign investors, etc. But magazines? woooo! Censorship, maybe...
Anyway, I'm entitled to my own opinion. I'm just a citizen who's reacting. The picture above is Ateneo De Manila's debating team speaker Leloy Claudio (idol ko to!). He said during the interview that he's been debating for 8 years. whew! maybe that's why he performed well in the debate finals. You can reach him here>>> Leloy
Shortly after I watched the debate I recieved a text message from one of my friends. Can't help but laugh out loud.

Filipina Artist: Mutya Buena - New Single

Our very own has released her album single Real Girl this year. The surly Filipina face of Sugarbabes, Mutya Buena, left the girl group, SUGABABES in order to care for her baby daughter Tahlia. The Irish-Filipino Mutya Buena (born Rosa Isabel Buena, May 21 1985), a founding member, is not the first gal to leave the ensemble -– back in 2002 another founding member Siobhan Donaghy left and was promptly replaced by the spritely Heidi Range.
Mutya posted an official statement on the Sugarbabes website:

“I’ve enjoyed an unbelievable career so far and I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved with Sugababes over the years. My decision to leave the band at this point is based purely on my personal reasons. It was very difficult but definitely not a snap decision. I signed up for being in Sugababes at the age of 13 and have spent my entire life devoted to making and performing music. I think there comes a time when everyone wants to re-evaluate their life and what they want out of it. For me that time has now come. For a long time I have been discussing with Heidi and Keisha our plans for the future and it got to the point where I honestly felt that the commitment I would need to make to Sugababes over the next 12 months was something that would become compromised by me. Clearly that wouldn’t have been fair to Heidi or Keisha or most of all to our fans. Certainly, my departure from the band would never mean the end of Sugababes."

The group, formed in 1998, had released 13 songs which made the top 40 charts around the world. Four songs reached the 31 spot in UK chart.
The group’s fourth album Taller in More Ways, which debuted at #31 in UK months ago, is the highest in their five-year carreer. Sugarbabes head off on a sold-out stadium tour supporting Take That with their new member in tow last 2006.

Well, Im not her fan...just proud that a true Filipino is making out in the international music industry. This is her new single REAL GIRL plus a bonus track with George Michael.

kimoiX Music Blog of the Month - JOANNA

Meet Joanna, the Glamorous. Welcome to her world of fashion and party music. I picked her as the Blog of the month because she's cool and you can find a lot of good stuff - music in her site. A good example of self- expression and being true to one's self. Meet Joanna, the Glamorous...

"Forget your personal tragedy. We are all bitched from the
start and you especially have to be hurt like hell before you can write seriously. But when you get the damned hurt, use it-don't cheat with it." People have to face regrets. Becoming mature means learning to accept what you cannot change, facing unresolved sorrows and learning to love life as it really happens, not as you would have it happen. When someone attaches unkindness to criticism, she's angry. Angry people need to criticize as an outlet for their anger. That's why you must reject unkind criticism. Unkind criticism is never part of a meaningful critique of you. Its purpose is not to teach or to help, its purpose is to punish. Life isn't supposed to be an all or nothing battle between misery and bliss. Life isn't supposed to be a battle at all. And when it comes to happiness, well, sometimes life is just okay, sometimes it's comfortable, sometimes wonderful, sometimes boring, sometimes unpleasant. When your day's not perfect, it's not a failure or a terrible loss. It's just another day."
