Chillout 2- Better Off Alone (Alice Deejay)

The club/dance moniker Alice Deejay joined the techno-pop party at the close of the '90s, slicing and dicing in European clubs and whipping up mixes alongside her fellow cohorts like Josh Wink, DJ Rap, and Paul Oakenfold. Judy, who fits the face behind the Alice Deejay name, initially joined the scene when performing at the popular Roxy club in Amsterdam. The instant spiritual connection combining human interaction and music itself became the burning force for Judy to become Alice Deejay. Her debut album, Who Needs Guitars Anyway?, was released in March 2000.
File detail: mp3 format/ 7.3 minutes/ extended version.

Bob Sinclair - World Hold On

I uploaded two versions of the song World Hold On by Bob Sinclair. "World Hold On" was selected the theme tune for the 2006 World cup in Germany last 2006, summer, which is also included in the Western Dream album. Once heard you will instantly understand that this track was made for radio, with the return of the perfect whistle hook, composed from Bob's actual whistling, the song has already been receiving support on Radios.
French Dj/Producer Christophe Le Friant AKA Bob Sinclar delivers his third studio album with the previous hit single "Love Generation" and the official world cup song "World Hold On" and just like before he releases an album that every dance music fan is going to enjoy, eventhough it may be his most commercial to date. Hypnotic beats and very catchy melodies is the trademark, but this time around it get's more evident that he's been finding influence from all around the world. Gary "Nesta" Pine from the Wailers appears on many songs, including "Love Generation" and adds alot of his Jamaican sound to the songs, and ditto with the other song "World, Hold On" that got everything it takes to be a huge summer hit. Pine also appears on the songs "Miss Me" "Shining From Heaven" and the accoustic "Give A Little Love". "Tennessee" is blues inspired for example and "Amora, Amor" latin. "Everybody Movin" sounds like Prince? and "For You" is pure rock while "Sing My Song" is a funky soul song. Other then the already release 2 songs I'm crazy for "In The Name Of Love" a very retro sounding floor filler bound to make people dance. "Western Dream" is a welcomed dance album in a time where few really good dance albums are realeased and the ones that are done, are either lounge or rock-insired. Bob Sinclar doesn't make it difficult, he releases an album with many influences but with a sound that is easy to like and sing a long to. Needless to say, "Western Dream" is a happy album for both the average music fan to fans of old-fashioned dance music.

Frou Frou - Breathe In

Probably some of you never heard of this artist before but I'm pretty sure you heard their song BREATHE IN because this song has been in the charts. One thing that I had observed from Imogen, the lead singer is that she really sounds like DIDO for sure.lolz. Anyway, here's a brief history.

With their name inspired by a French lyrical term for the sound of swishing skirts, a sound said to have driven men delirious with desire at the Folies Bergères, Frou Frou's debut album DETAILS is suitably delicate, languorously sensual and deliciously evocative. One half breathless singer-songwriter Imogen Heap and the other uber-collaborator Guy Sigsworth, Frou Frou are a coupling of fine pedigree. Having worked with everyone from Seal, to Bjork and Madonna (co wrote "What It Feels Like For A Girl"), Sigsworth's decision to reunite with Heap following his contribution to her 1998 debut album I Megaphone is well judged. Combining Sigsworth's electronic post-dance rhythms, naturalistic post-digital melodies and Heap's pre-bed honeyed vocals, Details glows with listless charm, effortless equanimity and an infectious joie de vivre. While tracks such as "Breathe In" and "It's Good To Be In Love" are both as gloriously uplifting as a dreamy cloudless summer morn, the romantic lyrics are self-exploratory enough to keep the listener firmly rooted in reality. As Heap implores on "Dumbing Down Of Love": "music is worthless unless it can make a complete stranger break down and cry". A brave statement, but Details while beautifully emotional, is far more likely to raise a smile. --Christopher Barrett Description What do you get when you combine a producer/electronics whiz who's worked with Madonna, Bjork, and Seal, and a distinctive, charming female singer? Judging from the results of Frou Frou's debut album details, you get a duo capable of combining complex, arresting sonic vistas with very organic, intimate vocals to fine effect. From the dreamy, hypnotic quality of the opening track "Let Go" to the airy, Beth Orton-like"Hear Me Out", Guy Sigsworth consistently manages to find just the right setting for Imogen Heap's up-close vocal style. Whether Sigsworth is employing delicate ambient textures, gentle trip-hop beats, or near-techno dance arrangements, he's perfectly in tune with both the mood of the song and the breathy-but-confident delivery of Heap. There's an audible air of artistic simpatico between the two that runs throughout DETAILS and makes the whole thing work. The music Breathe In was also made famous and has been escalated at the music charts since it has been used as a music soundtrack by SMALLVILLE.
Their music BREATHE IN was also introduced by HED KANDI, the famous house music maker. You can find it in his NU COOL album. You can listen to this song first, if you cant hear the backround music that I have been playing for quiet a while. Listen to the music at this link: BREATHE-IN

I'm gonna include two versions of BREATHE IN. One from their original album, Details, and the other from HED KANDI. Both are very good the only difference is the accompaniments.

KimoiX Soundcheck: DJ SAMMY

Downloadable mp3's for DJ Sammy for both tracks in the 1st and 2nd Album are available in my site this month but before that let's have a review...Some if not all of us knew about this DJ being famous for his remake of Bryan Adams' HEAVEN, which happened to be the second album's title.
DJ Sammy (born Samuel Bouriah, October 29, 1969 in Mallorca, Spain) is a dance music DJ. He has had four Top 10 hits in the United Kingdom, one of them being a cover of Bryan Adams's Heaven. He has been praised for his many collaborations with Dj patzer. His cover of Heaven was a collaboration with Dominique van Hulst, a popular Dutch vocalist who is usually known as Do. He has also collaborated with Loona, whom he later married, in the making of some of his singles. In addition he has also collaborated with Yanou, who produced the more subtle Heaven (Candlelit Mix), and later Heaven 911, commemorating the terrorism attacks of 9/11. Although it reached #2 in the UK charts, some people criticised his cover of Don Henley's "Boys of Summer" as they felt it didn't reflect the true meaning of the song. mog
Files below came from his second album under my sendspace upload. Maximum file is only 4.51 MB so it will not be greedy on your pc memory. Download the files now!

You can listen to DJ Sammy's awesome music and latest updates here>> http://www.djsammy.de/

Just a Reaction

A moment ago i watched Channel 4 in my TV set. My ex-school mate, Atty. Marc Castrodes was there, hosting the Inter-collegiate Debate Championship Finals. I listened to the arguments between Ateneo de Manila and UP. It was such a debate, all the arguments are very much well said and the adjudicators and the audience are impressed. I reacted on the topic because for me it is inappropriate for Teen Magazines (e.g. Candy, Meg, etc.) to publish topics about politics. I mean, you can only read politics in the newspapers and most Magazines but in Meg? No way dude! No offense but who's gonna buy those magazines if the pages talks about the politicians, corruptions, political whores and the never- ending political wars? Well as for educating the society about present political status, which does not only limit to adults but also the teens, there are always classrooms for them and there are parents to do that.
They could have picked a better debatable topic say, economic issues like outsourcing, whether to legalize gay marriage, to legally declare prostitution as a profession, topics about terrorism, finance and foreign investors, etc. But magazines? woooo! Censorship, maybe...
Anyway, I'm entitled to my own opinion. I'm just a citizen who's reacting. The picture above is Ateneo De Manila's debating team speaker Leloy Claudio (idol ko to!). He said during the interview that he's been debating for 8 years. whew! maybe that's why he performed well in the debate finals. You can reach him here>>> Leloy
Shortly after I watched the debate I recieved a text message from one of my friends. Can't help but laugh out loud.

Filipina Artist: Mutya Buena - New Single

Our very own has released her album single Real Girl this year. The surly Filipina face of Sugarbabes, Mutya Buena, left the girl group, SUGABABES in order to care for her baby daughter Tahlia. The Irish-Filipino Mutya Buena (born Rosa Isabel Buena, May 21 1985), a founding member, is not the first gal to leave the ensemble -– back in 2002 another founding member Siobhan Donaghy left and was promptly replaced by the spritely Heidi Range.
Mutya posted an official statement on the Sugarbabes website:

“I’ve enjoyed an unbelievable career so far and I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved with Sugababes over the years. My decision to leave the band at this point is based purely on my personal reasons. It was very difficult but definitely not a snap decision. I signed up for being in Sugababes at the age of 13 and have spent my entire life devoted to making and performing music. I think there comes a time when everyone wants to re-evaluate their life and what they want out of it. For me that time has now come. For a long time I have been discussing with Heidi and Keisha our plans for the future and it got to the point where I honestly felt that the commitment I would need to make to Sugababes over the next 12 months was something that would become compromised by me. Clearly that wouldn’t have been fair to Heidi or Keisha or most of all to our fans. Certainly, my departure from the band would never mean the end of Sugababes."

The group, formed in 1998, had released 13 songs which made the top 40 charts around the world. Four songs reached the 31 spot in UK chart.
The group’s fourth album Taller in More Ways, which debuted at #31 in UK months ago, is the highest in their five-year carreer. Sugarbabes head off on a sold-out stadium tour supporting Take That with their new member in tow last 2006.

Well, Im not her fan...just proud that a true Filipino is making out in the international music industry. This is her new single REAL GIRL plus a bonus track with George Michael.

kimoiX Music Blog of the Month - JOANNA

Meet Joanna, the Glamorous. Welcome to her world of fashion and party music. I picked her as the Blog of the month because she's cool and you can find a lot of good stuff - music in her site. A good example of self- expression and being true to one's self. Meet Joanna, the Glamorous...

"Forget your personal tragedy. We are all bitched from the
start and you especially have to be hurt like hell before you can write seriously. But when you get the damned hurt, use it-don't cheat with it." People have to face regrets. Becoming mature means learning to accept what you cannot change, facing unresolved sorrows and learning to love life as it really happens, not as you would have it happen. When someone attaches unkindness to criticism, she's angry. Angry people need to criticize as an outlet for their anger. That's why you must reject unkind criticism. Unkind criticism is never part of a meaningful critique of you. Its purpose is not to teach or to help, its purpose is to punish. Life isn't supposed to be an all or nothing battle between misery and bliss. Life isn't supposed to be a battle at all. And when it comes to happiness, well, sometimes life is just okay, sometimes it's comfortable, sometimes wonderful, sometimes boring, sometimes unpleasant. When your day's not perfect, it's not a failure or a terrible loss. It's just another day."

Clubmusic- Part 4 (TVC Ed.)

This is gonna be the fourth installment of my clubmixes. This time they were made famous by TV Commercials. Do you remember the dorky looking guy who danced at the bar when two girls joined him @ the floor, he actually jerked well.lolz. Well I may sound classic but this is the full-length mp3. I also got the clubmix Ibiza version, it sounds a lot better actually and less bulky (2.8 MB). The Original Oliver Cheatham version is a lot bigger but it also sounded well. Well before it was made famous by the Axe- Pulse commercial it actually went to the UK topchart for weeks.
Make Luv was a 2003 single by Room 5 featuring the sampled voice of Oliver Cheatham. It gained a #1 placing the UK Singles Chart on March 30th 2003, where it remained for 4 weeks. The single's title track was a remix of Cheatham's 1983 #38 hit, "Get Down Saturday Night". It also peaked at number thirty-four in Australia.
Its success was partly due to its use in a popular television advertising campaign for Lynx Pulse deodorant. The duo released another collaboration, "Music And You" in December 2003, which made #38.

This is the complete full-length TV Commercial. Lolz. The dance moves are really cool!

Today...

Today i learned a lot of things...I learned that what is essential is not necessarily observable by the senses...today I learned that every word you speak is important, that's why it must be carefully and prudently chosen before you say it...I also learned that words are not just words...
...a word can actually start a fire and devour an entire forest. A word can actually be the start of just about anything...I can either tell shit about a person or tell praises. I can destroy my career by just a word...I can change my mood by saying bad things to myself or appreciate my tracks. The bottom line is that I CAN DESTROY MY RELATIONSHIP TO OTHERS through a word...that would be my choice.

Today I quit work...

Today I learned that the person who love me is for real...

Today I learned that the person who hated me the most can never forgive me...

Today I learned to listen...

Today...is one of the saddest days of my life...

Upside Down - 6 Cycle Mind

I just heard this familiar tune from the streets last night so I downloaded an mp3 file from a friend in the net. This was taken from their latest album, HOME. The guitar tab done by 6 Cycle mind is pretty much interesting because they made a complete revival compared to the original which is very new- wavy. Honestly for me, the version is not that good but it's the accompaniment that made it sound good, as for the vocals, pwede na...lolz. Para to sa masa.hehehe. Anyway I took a copy of the original song by Two Minds Crack from imeem and pasted it here so that you can hear it. In case you like the original, lemme know so I can give you a copy in mp3 format.

Clubmusic - Part 3

Here's the third installation of my clubmusic. You've probably heard this familiar music several times in the air.

EVER AFTER (ERIC'S BEACH MIX) - HED KANDI feat. BONNIE BAILEY

Hed Kandi is one of the greatest House Labels. Formed in 1999 by DJ and A&R man Mark Doyle, Hed Kandi is a lifestyle concept incorporating a record label, a radio show, international club nights and a graphic style that stimulates all senses. Another great thing that sets Hed Kandi asides from any other compilation is the fact that they’ve gone beyond house music and launched into the world of chill out music. The main thing about this label can be summed up in 1 thing: quality, the main difference between Kandi and other labels is that they simply wanted to get away from most of the commercial music out there and yes to get away from the mediocre compilations that flood the market, advertising themselves with terms like “Chill”, “Ibiza” or both. Ever_After.mp3 (9.0 MB)

In the case of Hed Kandi, they release full 12 inches versions of the best songs you can get your hands on, that means: no lame edit or radio versions and the possibility to make your own mixes. In the case of the chill-out compilations they use mostly unknown artists. A difficult thing is to keep up with the tremendous amounts of stuff they release, it requires a good pocket, and be sure you’ll be spending lots of money. Someone once told me it’s like an addiction and you have to have them all and I think he is right, rarely has a Hed Kandi record disappointed me.And finally, the covers oh yes, the lovely ladies depicted on the covers invite you to whatever mood you’re feeling in: sunny, sexy, wintery...., in other words the cover tells you exactly what the music is going to sound like. Clubmusic- Part 2

Here's the second part of my clubmusic. Hope you like it.

DREAMS - DEEP DISH feat. STEVIE NICKS

Dreams is also recorded by The Corrs. Deep Dish enjoyed sold-out tour success and many plaudits for their effortlessly sweetspot-hitting debut artist album George Is On, not least from this site, in 2005. Dreams is one of that record's most uplifting numbers. A quarter of a century ago Stevie Nicks told journalists: "I never get tired of singing Dreams". She wrote the song for Fleetwood Mac, and here it sounds made for trance, complete with re-recorded vocals by Nicks herself. The Axwell remix has already been picked up by Pete Tong as his first Essential New Tune of 2006 on his Radio 1 show. Dreams.mp3

That insistent, pumping version is a highlight here and sits alongside the radio edit and club mix, while two further seven-minute tranceathons should please those seeking something a little heavier. Ushering in thoughts of sun, sea, Faliraki, Aya Napa and Miami in a soggy springtime, Dubfire and Sharam are indeed men of Dreams.

Clubsounds - Part 1

These Clubsound collections came from the same album like Pink Life by Gyskard. Cool sounds like Pink Life, you can download these files from my savefile account. Files without download for 10 days will be deleted automatically. I have included three files for this first part of my post. I'll include the other files in my next post: Clubsounds- Part 2, will be posted probably next month. :-)

Kaskade's It's You It's Me

KaskadeIt’s You, It’s MeOM RecordsRelease Date: March 18, 2003
Kaskade may be a new name to artist albums, but definitely not to house music. Establishing a name for himself through 12 inches for Hed Kandi and Naked Music, among others, Kaskade has earned support from some of the biggest tastemakers in the house music industry. With the release of his debut artist album It’s You, It’s Me, Kaskade takes himself to another level of music production. With an apparent exposure to early house music, Kaskade offers his listeners deeply sensual songs that celebrate life, love and happiness. Following in the steps of Zero 7 and Miguel Migz, Kaskade delivers a range of sounds from light, fun-loving summer grooves to mellow, soulful nap time favorites. Using three vocalists in his production, It’s You, It’s Me ranges from R&B riddled dico-esque grooves to pure soulful jazz favorites and back around to deep house that transcends the genre. It’s You, It’s Me is a soulful composition of smooth vocal gems and sounds that leave you feeling sensual and sexy. Download mp3 here. It's_you_it's_me.mp3

Sunset Daze - Selfish
